Mr Chu is a practicing lawyer admitted in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and had worked in various law chambers and practices, and as government attorney and in-house counsel, in London, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Prior to practising law, he had held CXO and board director positions with experience in project finance, corporate planning, marketing, communications, business development, human resources, accounting and information systems, across industries such as management consulting, information technology, manufacturing, telecommunications, education and energy, in organizations ranging from start-up to Fortune 500 multi-national corporations in Australia, China, Singapore and Switzerland.

He is an alumnus of Australian National University, Melbourne University and Monash University. His professional qualifications included being a Fellow of CPA Australia and the Tax Institute of Australia, a Chartered Accountant (Singapore), a Certified Management Consultant and a Certified Professional in Human Resources (Australia).

His other involvements in the blockchain industry includes being the CFO and the General Counsel of a number of the blockchain companies in Singapore, a co-founder of the Global Blockchain Pioneers Association, and a member of World Blockchain Association, International Blockchain Real Estate Association and Crowdfunding Professional Association.
