Mark grew up and went to University in the UK but has has spent the last twenty years immersed in complex internet-based technology solutions in New Zealand. He is passionate about helping organisations to understand emerging technology trends and their potential for business transformation.  In 2016 he ran the Ethereum.nz conference in and in May 2017 he ran TheBlockchain.NZ where 25 speakers from all over the world (including Vitalik Buterin and Andreas Antonopoulos) came to a three day sell out event in Auckland. Over the last three years he has been on a mission to educate/inspire business people and put New Zealand at the centre of the blockchain disruption. He has presented at over 20 conferences, helped set up the blockchain meetups in Auckland andWellington,  has been featured in the Listener, Radio NZ and TV3 Newshub and co-authored the report "New Zealand: Unlocking Blockchain’s Potential"

He is currently director co-founder Blockchainlabs.nz (who have worked with over 25 blockchain startups from all over the world including Status.im and Kyber.network) and he is the President of the Blockchain Association of New Zealand. He has been Blockchain trainer at Tech Futures Lab and was part of the SingularityU New Zealand local faculty training.
